MUBENDE DISTRICT RECEIVES DONATION FROM MILD MAY UGANDA

Mildmay Uganda has today donated and delivered assorted medical equipment to Mubende District Local Government through the Prevention To Child Transmission of HIV (PMCT) program.

Items received include 11 Examination beds, 8 screens, 17 blood pressure machines, 18 fetal scopes, 11 stadiometers, and 6 weighing scale.

While delivering the equipment at the medical stores Danes Tibemanya PMCT officer at Mildmay Uganda noted that the equipment are aimed at reducing and eradicating the transmission of HIV from the mother to the child.

Danes Tibemanya further added Items received will also improve on service delivery at the various health centres

These items are going to be distributed to both health center ii and health centre iii. Health centre ii’s to benefit include Kayebe, Kituule, Kanyogoga, Mawujjo, Kabyuma, Kakigando, Lubimbiri,Kayinja, Kanseera, Bugonzi, Kabowa. Health centre iii’s namely Gayaza, Butawata, Butoloogo will also receive the equipments.
