50 PIGLETS GIVEN OUT TO BENEFICIARIES.

Mubende district local government has today given out 50 piglets to the beneficiaries in the all the sub counties in Mubende district.

These piglets were purchased under district discretionary equalization grant aimed at improving the livelihood at house hold and group level.

These piglets have been distributed to the beneficiaries at function presided over by the Resident District Commissioner Mubende Mrs Byabaisaija Rose Mary at Kibalinga holding ground in Kibalinga sub county.

While handing over the piglets to beneficiaries the resident district commissioner Mubende district has appealed to the beneficiaries to look after these animals properly so that the motive of government to reduce the poverty levels at household level can be achieved.

The lcv chairman Mubende district HON.Muhereza Ntambi Micheal stressed that a team has been put in place to monitor these animals and who ever will be tempted to eat or sale of the animal will face arrest and also repay back the animals in question.
Beneficiaries include women groups, youth groups, foster families and individuals from all the sub counties through out Mubende district.
