BRIDGE WORTH 100 MILLION UGANDA SHILLINGS COMMISSIONED

The Resident District Commission Al- Haji Lule Umaru, accompanied by the LCV chair person Hon Muhereza Ntambi Micheal, CAO Peter N Ruhweeza , district councilors , sub county technical and political leaders have today commissioned a bridge worth 100 million Uganda shillings in Kigando.

This bridge has been commissioned at Kachwamango swamp along Mugungulu- Kasolo road which connects Kigando and Bagezza sub counties

While commissioning the bridge Al- HAJI Lule Umaru noted this bridge will help improve the connectivity between the two sub counties and also help the residents in this area move their commodities to the markets which has been a challenge hindering the development.

LCV Chairman Hon Muhereza Ntambi Micheal appreciated the fellow leaders for the unity, team work and efforts to see to it that this bridge is constructed. Several efforts to improve the movement of the people and goods in this area were challenged by the high volumes of water in this area which could wash away the culverts installed.

Hon Ntambi noted that with the construction of the new bridge anticipated to last for more than ten years the residents in this will now easily access the markets.

CAO Mubende district Mr. Peter N Ruhweeza has appreciated the technical team for the quality work

In a another development the district leaders in Mubende district led by the Resident District Commission Al- Haji Lule Umaru and accompanied by the LCV chairperson Hon Muhereza Ntambi Micheal, CAO Peter N Ruhweeza , district councilors , sub county technical and political leaders have today officially opened St Paul Kachwamango primary school as a government aided school.

The Resident District Commissioner Al- Haji lule Umaru while presiding over the handover ceremony appreciated the foundation body of the school for accepting to be taken over by government and offering a the existing structures and a parcel of land measuring to 7 acres.

Lcv chairman thanked government for taking over the school and appealed to the residents in this area to continue supporting the school by taking their children to school and also provide the necessary scholastic materials to their children

CAO Mubende district Mr. Peter N Nsungwa requested the school authorities to formalize the process of land acquisition by government so that government can be able to construct the facilities on the land it owns.

He further committed that government will continue to support the school.

Mr. Kabunga Asaph the District Education Officer noted that the school has been provided with 6 teachers and one head teacher for the start and will continue to guide and support them so that performance of the school is improved.
