Mubende District approves budget FY 2023/ 2024 worth 42,112,733,372

Mubende District council has today approved budget estimates for Financial Year 2024/2025 worth UGX 42,112,733,372.

The motion has been presented by the Secretary for Finance, Planning and Administration Hon Kayengere John.

He noted that the above funds will be collected from various sources as indicated below

Central Government transfers- 37,989,493,800
Other Government Grants- 779,057,800
Donor / NGO support - 2,263,489,726
Local Revenue - 1,080,692,046
Total - 42,112,733,372

In the same development the district council has also approved the supplementary budget estimates for funds under GAVI and Ministry of health, Uganda Road Fund and Office of the Prime Minister totaling to shs 612,506,733 for the Financial year 2023/2024.

These funds received by the district will support reproductive Maternal Child health services, cater for supporting 5 groups under Micro projects programme, extended periodic maintenance of Lubona Township main Street.

- Support to 5 groups under Micro projects support program - 69,550,000 funds from office of the Prime Minister
- Extended Periodic Maintenance of Lubona Township Main Street(1KM) -500,000,000- funds from Uganda Road Fund.
- Funds from GAVI and Ministry of health to support Reproductive Maternal child Health - 42,956,733 funds from GAVI and Ministry of Health .
