SITE HAND OVER FOR KABBO HEALTH CENTRE III

The Resident District Commissioner Mubende district Al-Haji Lule Umaru accompanied by the LCV Chairperson Hon Muhereza Ntambi Micheal,Deputy RDC Mr. Birungi Abubaker, DISO Mr. Katagwa Christopher, PAS Mr. Ssali Edison have today handed over the site for Kabbo health centre iii to the new contractor Almond integral Uganda Limited for a period of 8 months.

MUTECO international company limited the former contractor for Kabbo health centre iii absconded the construction site, contract expired and there after the contract was awarded to Almond Intergral Uganda limited

Al-Haji Lule requested the new contractor Almond integral Uganda limited to do quality work because the district has trusted him with this construction site because he has proven to the best contractor in the district.

Mr. Lule thanked the district leaders for lobbying funds to benefit the residents of mubende district. Supervision and monitoring of government projects by the local leaders helps in the implementation of quality works to benefit the residents of Mubende district.

LCV chairman Hon Muhereza Ntambi Micheal noted that it's true the district leader ship received several complaints about the shoddy works but government has a lot bureaucracy and guidelines which should be followed. today I thank God that we have now received a new contractor who will deliver.

Hon Ntambi stressed that the district will pursue the former contractor MUTECO international company limited in courts of law over shoddy works and failure to deliver despite the partial payments advanced to him

Hon Ntambi requested the new contractor to fence off the premises and protect the materials and equipments against vandalism.

Hon Ntambi appealed to the local leaders to always monitor, supervise and report issues of shoddy works so that value.

Mr. Ssali Edison the Principal Assistant Secretary thanked the local leaders and the entire community for the continued monitoring and supervision of government report.

Mr. Ssali noted that Grievance Redress committee will be initiated to handle issues of contention at the construction site.

District engineer Mr. Muzibira John Baptist noted that an independent technical report will be carried out by the Ministry of works team and will verify the buildings to be demolished.
