STAFF HOUSES COMMISSIONED AND LAUNCHED AT GAYAZA HEALTH CENTER III AND MUGUNGULU HEALTH CENTER II

Deputy Resident District Commissioner Mr. Birungi Abubaker, accompanied by the Lcv chairperson Hon Muhereza Ntambi Micheal , PAS Mr. Ssali Edison, technical and political leaders at the district and sub county have today commissioned and launched staff houses at two health facilities in a bid to improve service delivery.

While commissioning the twin staff house( each unit with two bedrooms , one sitting room, bathroom, kitchen) worth 161,500,000 at Gayaza health center III at Kalagala village , Kalagala parish, Bagezza sub country DRDC Mr Birungi Abubaker thanked the president for providing the funds used to carry out the various projects this improving the lives of the people.

He informed the residents that government has invested a lot of funds through various programs therefore the need to wake up and join the struggle and improve their livelihood.

lcv chairman Hon Muhereza Ntambi Micheal thanked the president and government for the provision of funds used in the construction of the staff houses.

He also thanked the contractor for timely and quality worker delivered and cautioned other contractors against shoddy work and failure to construct the with the agreed contract period which in turn affects the planned service delivery.

PAS Mr Saali Edison noted that the staff houses will help uplift the health status because staff will stay at the health facility thus provide timely services to the patients.

In the related development the Deputy Resident District Commissioner Mr. Birungi Abubaker, accompanied by the Lcv chairperson Hon Muhereza Ntambi Micheal ,political and technical wing at the district and sub county has launched the construction of a four unit staff house( each unit with one bed room and a sitting room) at Mugungulu health centre is at Kanala lci at Mugungulu parish Bagezza sub country worth 40,936,700.

DRDC Mr. Birungi Abubaker noted that staff houses will provide accommodation for the staff which will translate to improvement in the service delivery.

Lcv chairman Hon Muhereza Ntambi Micheal appealed to the sub county leaders ship and health center leadership to monitor and supervise the construction works so that value for money is achieved.

Ag. DHO Namusoke Mary noted that this four unit staff house with each bed room and a sitting room will be constructed in pharses and pharse one which has been launched will be constructed at a contract sum of 40,936,700 for a period not exceeding 30th/ June/2024.
