72 GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS TO UNDERGO MINOR RENOVATION EXERCISE

A total of 72 school in Mubende district local government have been selected to undergo the minor renovation exercise.

Mrs Byabaisaija Rose Mary RDC Mubende district reviled this during the launch and monitoring exercise of minor renovations for government schools at both primary and secondary level.

This event was held at Butoloogo seed secondary school in Butoloogo sub county.

Mrs Byabaisija Rose Mary explained that a total of 370 million Uganda shilling has been provided by government to facilitate this exercise for 72 schools both primary and secondary.

“During the lock down many government schools were completely worn out while some of the schools have taken long minus any repairs thus the need to carry out such repairs to enable the students and teacher have a conducive environment. “Byabaisaija added

Mrs Byabaisija appealed to the contractors to do quality and timely work during this exercise.

Mr Kayengere John the secretary for Education and Health stressed that minor renovation to be carried out around schools will include repair of doors, broken windows, sockets, repair for verandahs, linking roofs.

Mr Kayengere requested the both the political leaders and schools head teachers to supervise the on going works at the areas of jurisdiction to see to it that value of money is attained
